WYR TERRANIGMA is an improvised, electroacoustic adventure that is the result of one night of heated experimentation at the famed Los Angeles jazz/creative music venue Blue Whale, in the Little Tokyo district of Downtown LA. WYR is a two-drummer + sax ensemble made up of Jonathan Rowden (saxophones and electronics), Chris Wabich and James Yoshizawa (drums and percussion). TERRANIGMA finds them in intimate collaboration with vocalist Joanna Wallfisch and vocalist/pianist Areni Agbabian.
Separated into two movements in audio form, the original version is a full-length concert film available to watch at wyrfilm.com
